Wings and Wires

Mixed Media Works Inspired by Nature

In her new series “Wings and Wires” Diana Majumdar examines
birds in human environments and the
connections between humans and birds. In these works she is interested
in the birds we see where we live: in a tree, parking lot, or someone’s barn. We
often take for granted the wealth of birdlife on our own doorsteps. The
artificial concrete and steel ecosystems of cities support a surprisingly large
number of birds. Her
works are inspired by their beauty and our coexistence. Also on display are
wire bird sculptures by Jonqui Albin
, http://www.birdarting.com/. Exhibit runs through July 27. Upstairs
