Calm your stomach with ginger, mint and tangerine tea

Most likely, you have the ingredients for this stomach calming tea in your kitchen. It’s great for an upset stomach caused by eating too much, indigestion, a hangover, or for those who just love the taste.  

Ingredients:

1 to 2 cups of water
2 Tbls. fresh mint, chopped coarsely; or 1 mint tea bag
1 (1/2-inch) piece of fresh ginger, minced
1 tsp. dried or fresh tangerine or orange peel
Honey (optional) 

Directions:

  1. Boil water in a small pot.
  2. Place mint, ginger and tangerine peel in the hot water. Cover and lower heat, and simmer for about 3 minutes.
  3. Turn off heat and let steep for an additional 3 minutes.
  4. Remove herbs by pouring the mixture through a strainer.
  5. Add honey, if desired, and serve.
For morning sickness, try combining ginger and tangerine peel with 2 Chinese red dates.

It can also be made with ginger and tangerine peel only.
