2 Injury Accidents on Dry Creek Monday Morning

One crash sends truck into ditch, CHP says.

California Highway Patrol officers reported two injury accidents near Healdsburg Monday on Dry Creek Road north of Highway 101.

Details on both crashes were sketchy Monday because they were handled from a remote office, said CHP Sgt. John Evans.

"We'll know more tomorrow when the paperwork comes in," Evans said.

He said the first crash was called in at 8:08 a.m. Monday when a GMC truck ran off the road and fell 20 feet into an embankment on Dry Creek Road one to two miles north of Highway 101.

Evans said at least one person complained of back and neck injuries, but the person refused medical treatment.

Evans said he had no information on whether there were passengers in the truck or why it went off the road.

A second two-vehicle crash involving a Suburu Outback was also reported in the same general location, Evans said. It was not immediately clear if that incident was related to the GMC truck crash.

In the second incident, one person was transported to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Evans said.
