Bounty Goes Up for Info on RCU Robbery in Santa Rosa

By Bay City News Service

The reward for information about last week's robbery of the park has grown to $12,500, police said.

The credit union is offering $10,000, and the Sonoma County Alliance's "Take Back Our Community" program is offering $2,500, Sgt. David Linscomb said.

The credit union, located at 2763 Fourth St., was robbed at about 10:15 a.m. on May 20. Three armed, masked men ordered customers to the ground and fled with cash taken from tellers at their windows, Linscomb said.

The suspects fled in a silver van that had been reported stolen in Vallejo, but they abandoned it and then drove off in two other vehicles, witnesses told police.

The suspects, who all had light complexions, were dressed in black hooded sweatshirts and were wearing masks, Linscomb said.

One is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall with a thin build. Another is 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a stocky build. The third suspect is about 6 feet tall with an average build, police said.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Santa Rosa police at (707) 543-3590.
