Celebration of Life ceremony set for Tim Neuer

A Celebration of Life memorial ceremony has been set later this month for Healdsburg businessman Tim Neuer, at his home north of Healdsburg.

Neuer, 29, former owner and founder of Thrive Hydroponics, Inc., a Healdsburg indoor/outdoor garden supplies store, will be celebrated at 3 p.m. March 24 at Druid Hall, 1011 College Ave., Santa Rosa. 

A friend of Neuer's, who asked not to be identified, said that funeral services will be private as per the family's request.

"I loved Tim very much and feel horrible for what has happened," the friend said.

Jarrod Miller of Cloverdale, brother of Neuer's girlfriend, Amanda "Mandy" Miller, is in custody in Sonoma County Jail, on the night of Tuesday, March 8. Miller, 29, who at one time had lived with Neuer and his sister in the home in the 300 block of Alexander Valley Road north of Healdsburg, is scheduled to enter a plea at a hearing at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Sonoma County Superior Court.

Sonoma County District Attorney Jill Ravitch herself, with the assistance of Deputy District Attorney Scott Jamar. Miller's case is the first Ravitch has chosen to prosecute since taking office in January.

 Neuer's friend clarified earlier news reports that described Neuer as the current owner of Thrive Hydroponics. The friend said Neuer  was no longer an owner or employee of Thrive Hydroponics, and had not worked at the company for at least six months.
