Clothes-Shedding Burglary Suspect Arrested at Gunpoint

Healdsburg Police arrested a Geyserville man who is suspected of breaking into a home, shedding his cloths and rummaging through the house.

The Healdsburg Police Department arrested Brad Pitkin, 24, of Geyserville, on suspicion of burglary and violation of probation Saturday night.

Police say Pitkin broke into a home on the 300 block of Matheson Street, at 10:30 p.m., Saturday. Pitkin allegedly gained entrance into the home through an unlocked door, shed his clothing, and began to rummage through the resident's property.

Pitkin took a knife and some clothing, police said. The resident phoned police to report that someone had broken into the home, after encountering Pitkin in the upstairs bedroom.

Two minutes later, police arrived at the scene and found Pitkin attempting to exit the home through the front door. Pitkin was taken into custody at gunpoint in the entryway of the home.

He was taken to jail and was given a bail amount of $50,000.
