Coroner IDs Man Found at Dump; Body Possibly Came In On Healdsburg Truck

The Sonoma County coroner's office has identified a man who was found dead Wednesday at the Sonoma County Central Disposal Site as 39-year-old Matthew Dean Nashol.

Nashol's most recent residence is unknown, a coroner's office spokeswoman said. Sonoma County sheriff's deputies were summoned to the disposal site at 500 Mecham Road around 1 p.m., Sgt. Shannon McAlvain said.

Disposal site employees found the body in a debris pile around 12:50 p.m., McAlvain said.

The body might have come from a transfer truck in the Healdsburg area, McAlvain said.

There was no indication of foul play and an autopsy on the body is scheduled for today.
