Wayne Ridge lost control of the 2010 Harley Davidson on a sharp curve on Sunday.

A Rocklin man was killed when he was ejected from his three-wheel motorcycle in rural, unincorporated Sonoma County on Sunday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.

Wayne Ridge, 74, was driving a 2010 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycle west on state Highway 128 in Kellogg, west of the Napa County line, around 11:30 a.m., CHP Officer Jon Sloat said.

Ridge was driving at about 40 mph and did not slow down when he approached a sharp right curve, Sloat said. The motorcycle continued straight in the curve, drove across the double yellow lines and into the eastbound lane. The vehicle drove off the south edge of the road, struck a rock wall and overturned, ejecting Ridge who landed on his stomach near the motorcycle, according to Sloat.

Ridge was riding with several friends and was the second to last rider. The rider behind Ridge gave the CHP details about the crash. Ridge was pronounced dead at the scene.
