2 Adults, 2 Children Injured in Rollover Crash near Windsor

Incident on southbound Highway 101 north of Arata at 8:38 a.m.

A man and woman and two children sustained major injuries Tuesday morning when the car they were riding in rolled over in the southbound lane of Highway 101 north of the Arata Lane exit between Healdsburg and Windsor.

California Highway Patrol Sgt. John Evans said a man and a woman and two children were transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital after the 8:38 a.m. crash.

Evans said the accident only involved one car. He said he had no immediate report on how it occurred because CHP officers were still on the scene at about 12 noon today.

Both lanes of southbound 101 were blocked for a time after the crash, Evans said. Then one lane was opened for a while.

"The entire freeway was cleared [for traffic] at 9:28 a.m.," Evans said.

There was no immediate word on the identity of the four people, whether they were a family of four, or where they are from.
