Fatal Crash Blocking Highway 12 Near Santa Rosa

Eastbound lanes shut down by CHP after evening accident that claimed two lives.

Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle crash that is blocking all eastbound lanes of state Highway 12 in Santa Rosa this evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash, which involved at least two vehicles, was called in at 5:21 p.m. on eastbound Highway 12 just west of Farmers Lane, the CHP reported.

Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the CHP.

It wasn't immediately known if anyone else was injured. There was no estimated time when the eastbound lanes would reopen.

A Sig-alert was issued at 5:44 p.m.
