Foot Chase Leads to Arrest of Wanted Man in Santa Rosa

SANTA ROSA (BCN) - A San Francisco man with multiple warrants out for his arrest was taken into custody Sunday morning after he allegedly fled from police during a traffic stop in what turned out to be a stolen car, Santa Rosa police said. 

Jeffrey Locke, 40, allegedly fled from police on foot after a 2:21 a.m. traffic stop on Marlow Road near Jennings Avenue, according to Sgt. David Boettger.

Police conducted a yard-to-yard search of the area and captured Locke after a foot pursuit, Boettger said.

After his arrest, police determined that Locke had been driving a stolen car and had multiple active warrants out for his arrest.

The warrants included a no-bail warrant from the California Department of Corrections; two active arrest warrants out of Marin County for possession of stolen property and stolen vehicle; one out of Alameda County for dangerous drugs; and two out of Sonoma County for burglary, attempted burglary, grand theft auto, possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting or obstructing a peace officer.
