Healdsburg Man Among 24 Arrested at DUI Checkpoint
Zachary Lowe, of Healdsburg, was the only individual arrested on suspicion of DUI.
A DUI and driver's license checkpoint at two locations in Santa Rosa resulted in 24 arrests Saturday night, police said.
Of the two dozen arrests, just one - 23-year-old Healdsburg resident Zachary Lowe - was as a result of driving under the influence,
according to police.
Brian Mills, 33, of Santa Rosa, was arrested at a checkpoint for a parole violation and possession of methamphetamine, according to police.
The remaining 22 arrests were driver's license related - 19 for unlicensed drivers and three for driving on a suspended license, police said.
The unlicensed drivers were cited and released.
Roughly 1,244 cars went through the checkpoints, located at eastbound state Highway 12, just east of Mission Boulevard, and the intersection of Steel Lane and Cleveland Avenue, police said.
It was the seventh checkpoint this year, according to police.
