Healdsburg man gets DUI arrest after crashing into sign

Police stop man early Monday on outskirts of town.

A Healdsburg man who crashed into an address sign early Monday was arrested by Healdsburg police on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Cooper Rosas, 22, was arrested at 12:48 a.m. Monday near the intersection of Healdsburg Avenue and Alexander Valley Road, police said.

According to the police log, Healdsburg Officer Nadia Mohamed was following Rosas in her patrol car when she allegedly saw his car crash into a sign at 17470 Healdsburg Ave.

After making the traffic stop, Mohamed called Bells Ambulance for a blood draw, police said.

Rosas was subsequently taken to Healdsburg Police station and arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He was later released with a citation to appear for a hearing in Sonoma County Superior Court.
