Healdsburg Police Activity, Week of April 8-15

Where to begin: Controlled substances, hit and run, coming down off meds, insomnia, pellet gun snipers, drugs, graffiti, smoking MJ in public, hit and run, boisterous bikers, and more drugs.

 

This week's Police Logs from the Healdsburg Police Department have many stories, few details.

Shortly after midnight the morning of Monday,  April 8, officers initiated a traffic stop at Front St. and Hudson in Healdsburg. Javier Carrillo-Lopez, 20, was cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and violation of probation. Alvaro Hurtado-Diaz, 21, was cited for possession of an open container. Brenda Yolanda Silva-Alvarez, 18, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. She was transported to the Police Department for booking, then transferred to County Jail.

At 12:47 p.m. that day, a party called to advise the police department that she had passed an apparent collision between a little red car on the Memorial Bridge. Responding officers did not find any of the parties or vehicles upon arrival.

At 1:21 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, a party stopped at the police station to advise that she had just picked up her daughter from the hospital, and she (the daughter) “was out of control” and “coming down off drugs." Officers assisted in transporting the two women home.

At 8:19 p.m. on the 9th, an erratic driver was reported driving very slowly on Old Redwood Hwy. and crossing over the center line. The reporting driver followed the vehicle and saw it entering Vineyard Plaza. Officers responded and found the driver was not intoxicated, but had “insomnia and family issues." He was warned “not to driver when feeling this way.”

At 6:48 p.m., someone called the Police Department to warn of a male approximately 16 years of age hiding in the bushes behind the Travelodge on Dry Creek “who had a gun and kept pointing it in the direction of the Travelodge.”  Officers located and contacted the juvenile, who had a pellet gun. The gun was returned to the juvenile’s parents.

On Thursday April 11, at 5:15, officers contacted Shaka Hay, 35, in the Circle K parking lot and on suspicion searched his vehicle, where drugs were found. He was transported to the county jail on warrant, violation of probation, with $15,000 bail.

On April 12 at 8:30 a.m., vandalism was reported at Stirrup Loop and Parkland Farms Blvd. as a retaining wall was tagged.

At Riverside Villa Mobile Home Park on Mason St, at 5:35 a.m. on Saturday April 13, police were called with reports of “glass breaking and a lot of yelling.” Location was either Space #8 or a house on Tucker St. Officers responded, both areas were checked, they were unable to locate any type of disturbance.

At 9:13 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, it was reported to police that a Hispanic male in his 20s, wearing black shorts and black shirt, was walking back to Foss Creek Ct. off West Grant after having been smoking marijuana near the Montessori School. The subject had been contacted in the past about the same issue. Officers contacted the subject and advised him that he could not smoke marijuana in public. It was also determined that the subject did not have a medical marijuana card. A further complaint was made by the responding party regarding the subject’s friend who had spit at her in the past. “She was also given advice on what to do in the future regarding this.”

At 5:39 p.m. on Sunday, a hit-and run accident was reported at West Grant, involving a gray car with rear end damage which was last seen driving east-bound, and a cream Cadillac, which was in pursuit of the vehicle. The vehicles were located on W. Grant St., and an officer will be taking a report.

At 8:01 p.m. on the 14th, a man was reported in Shelton’s Market acting boisterously and smelling of alcohol. He was reported last seen riding a motorcycle southbound on East St. Healdsburg units were advised to be on the lookout, but they were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 1:11 a.m. on Monday April 15, an officer conducted a traffic stop near Adels Restaurant on Dry Creek Rd. The passenger was found to have a Sonoma County warrant for violation of probation and possession of a weapon. He was arrested and transported to County Jail, where upon booking a methamphetamine pipe was found in one of his socks. This charge was added to his record. The driver was released at the scene.
