UPDATE: Police Find Incendiary Device at Healdsburg Home

Unlit device was taped to a tire on a car in front of Lorraine Court home.

and the Sonoma County Sheriff's Department this morning removed an "incendiary device" taped to a tire on a car parked in front of a home on Lorraine Court in Healdsburg.

Police said the device was unlit and was confiscated by the sheriffs deputies, who will defuse it safely and dispose of it.

Police staff described the item only as an "incendiary device." They said there was no word on whether it was fireworks or other type of explosives.

Healdsburg police said the Lorraine Court homeowners contacted them this morning to report that an unknown item, wrapped in paper, was taped to their car's tire.

Officers and deputies went to the home, where they determined it was a type of incendiary device, police said.

There was no immediate word on suspects or motive for the incident.
