Patch reader Dee Gillen Cuney suggested a way for folks to support and say thanks to the firefighters working the recent surge of area blazes, including the #ButtsFire, #MonticelloFire, the Dixon brush fire, the Petaluma grass fire and the multiple vegetation fires in Contra Costa County.
"This," she said, "is what you can do to help."
Take such donations as bottled water, Gatorade and electrolyte-replacement drinks, non-perishable protein bars, trail mix and baby wipes to the fire station closest to your home.
