Officers attempted to pull the car over, but the driver -- later identified as Dan Cotton -- would not stop, and a vehicle pursuit ensued, police said.

Cotton continued driving east on West Steele Lane at speeds above 70 mph, failing to stop at red lights and stop signs, according to police. The pursuit ended a short time later when Cotton's vehicle broke down.
