Man Arrested For Larkfield Bank Robbery In April

A Windsor man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of robbing a bank in Larkfield last month, a Sonoma County sheriff's sergeant said.

Matthias Daugherty, 25, was arrested in Sonoma County Jail, where he was already being held under $500,000 bail on suspicion of battery, threatening to commit a crime, vandalism and obstructing a public officer.

Daugherty was arrested on May 12 for those offenses and was found to be mentally competent after a doctor's exam, according to court records. He is scheduled to appear in Sonoma County Superior Court on Thursday afternoon.

Daugherty is suspected of robbing the Exchange Bank at 500 Larkfield Center around 12:20 p.m. on April 24.

The white, male robber demanded money and put it in a plastic grocery-type bag, Windsor police said.

Police later released a photo of the suspect taken by a surveillance camera. The bank offered a $5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
