A 21-year-old man who brought a stolen motorcycle to the store where it was taken from was arrested in Santa Rosa on Friday afternoon, police said.

Officers responded to a report of two suspects attempting to purchase a part for a stolen motorcycle at the Santa Rosa Powersports at 910 Santa Rosa Ave. around 2:45 p.m., Sgt. Ryan Corcoran said.

The suspects had the motorcycle in the back of their truck that was stolen from the same Powersports store during a burglary on Nov. 5, he said.

The suspects were not at the scene when police arrived but an officer in the area saw the truck traveling north on Santa Rosa Avenue, Corcoran said.

The truck turned off of Santa Rosa Avenue and the suspects abandoned the vehicle before the officers could catch up to them, he said.

A Sonoma County Sheriff's office helicopter in the area assisted in the search and officers set up a perimeter, Corcoran said.

Both suspects were detained and the motorcycle was recovered, he said.

An investigation led officers to arrest Santa Rosa resident Fogatia Fuiava who was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of possession of a stolen motorcycle, violation of probation and violation of parole.
