Man Found Dead in Russian River is Identified

Guerneville resident Frank Anthony Bratcher, 55, was found dead in the Russian River. Foul play is not suspected.

The Sonoma County coroner's office has identified the man who was found dead in the Russian River on Tuesday as 55-year-old Frank Anthony Bratcher, of Guerneville.

Two fishermen found Bratcher's body in the river near the 16000 block of state Highway 116 west of Guerneville around 10:45 a.m.

The fishermen were floating down the river when they discovered the body tangled in brush on the north side of the river, according to the sheriff's office.

Foul play is not suspected, and an autopsy is scheduled for Friday, according to the coroner's office.
