Napa Woman With 5 Prior DUIs Arrested for Suspected DUI in Sonoma County

CHP takes Napa woman into custody in Petaluma Friday afternoon.

A 45-year-old Napa woman who police said has five prior DUI convictions was arrested Friday in Petaluma on suspicion of felony DUI.

Ixchel Susan Rollins was booked into Sonoma County Jail on the DUI and other charges after being taken into custody at a traffic stop on Highway 101 at about 2:15 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol spokesman Marcus Hawkins.

Hawkins said a CHP officer stopped Rollins while she was driving her BMW 540i on U.S. 101 in Petaluma for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Once stopped, the officer administered field sobriety tests. The officer then  placed Rollins under arrest for a felony charge of DUI because she has five prior convictions for DUI in the last 10 years.

In addition, Rollin was charged with a violation of her probation terms and driving on a suspended license, Hawkins said.and

I will guess her prior DUI's were misdemeanors. This time will be different for her I hope, she was arrested for a FELONY DUI. With her "track record" I don't think the judge will go easy on her, or reduce the sentence. IMHO

Folks, we are talking about a serious alcoholic here. She is out of control The real problem is with those who enable her to continue drinking and driving. Who is providing her with a car? Who is making life comfortable enough that she can continue drinking?

God bless her and I am glad CHP got her off the road and maybe she will get some help. Alcoholism is very serious, progressive and fatal

I know her. In fact she's my ex-girlfriend. She's not an evil person. She's an alcoholic. Specifically, she has always had issues processing pain, sadness, disappointment, dispair, and it causes her to drink whatever is around. I'm not defending her, but know that she has a very big problem and needs help. I'm hoping that this will lead to rehabilitation.. She's not a monster, she is a woman with deep emotional problems. She just lost her mother who was everything to her. She has a son, a sister, and a father who are desperately trying to keep her out of trouble.

Anyone with 5 DUI's deserves prison time !! And then hopefully she gets the help she needs ....
