Three family pets reportedly perished in an all-consuming house fire on Pheasant Drive in Healdsburg Saturday afternoon.
Nearby neighbors reported the sound of an explosion at about 3:45 p.m. -- later determined to possibly be a butane tank on the back patio -- and saw the home engulfed in flames.
The Healdsburg Fire Department responded, along with crews from nearby towns, according to nearby residents. Neighboring houses also sustained damage, witnesses said.
Healdsburg fire and city officials could not be reached due to weekend hours to confirm the reports or provide details, but Patch will update the information when available.
