Police pick up after juvenile house party
A quiet northeast Healdsburg neighborhood was the scene of a multi-car response to an after-school party gone wrong
An anonymous call to the this afternoon set off a response to a residential neighborhood in northeast Healdsburg, where numerous juveniles were found in an apparent state of intoxication.
Several police cars, a fire truck and a came to the scene, while neighbors on Rose Lane watched from their homes.
“When we got home about 2:20,” said Ian Hesz, a resident on Rose Lane, “there were a few kids in front of our house watching six or eight across the street [at the intersection of Sherman St.]... After the second cop showed up they started giving them breathalyzer tests.”

Hesz, a home restoration contractor, has lived in the neighborhood about two years, he said.
A few of the juveniles were let go, but at least three were held and released to their parents when they arrived shortly thereafter.

One of the boys was suffering ill effects and was taken by ambulance for medical attention.
“The girls right here told me it was a house party with alcohol,” Hesz said. "I asked how come the police weren't talking to them, and they said they weren't at the party."
