Power Outage Reported in South End of Healdsburg

Police suspect outage caused by bird flying over certain wires.

Electrical technicians will be investigating the cause of a possible power outage at 6:29 p.m. Sunday in the southern part of Healdsburg.

Healdsburg police said a caller reported seeing a bird flying into electrical wires at a transformer across the street from the at 238 Center St.

"They said they saw sparks flying," a police clerk said.

Police said they had no word on how many electrical customers might have been affected. Electrical technicians were contacted and were on their way, police said.
