Suspect Arrested in Numerous Windsor Burglaries

Stephen Dotson, 31, was arrested Thursday.

A man was arrested after being spotted burglarizing a Windsor home and is suspected of stealing from several other houses in that town, according to Sonoma County authorities.

At 4 p.m. Thursday, the Windsor Police Department received a report of a home on Dizzy Gillespie Way being burglarized, according to a press release. The description of the suspect matched that of a man seen stealing from several other homes in the northeastern part of Windsor, the press release states.

Stephen Dotson, a 31-year-old Windsor resident, was identified as the suspect. His home was searched Thursday night, and officials "located items that were stolen from the earlier burglary," the press release states. "[Deputies] also located other property that is suspected to have been stolen."

Dotson was arrested and charged with burglary and possession of stolen property; his bail is set at $250,000 and officials say he may face more charges in the future.
