UPDATE (9 a.m. Thursday): The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office have identified the man suspected of slashing and stabbing another man several times with an "unknown large cutting instrument" near two schools west of Santa Rosa Wednesday afternoon.
Sheriff’s detectives are searching for 32-year-old Adam Jordon Faustino in connection with yesterday’s stabbing in the 5000 block of Hall Road in Santa Rosa, according to Sgt. Carlos Basurto. Faustino is a white man described as being 5-feet, five-inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds. He has short brown hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen driving a blue 1996 Ford Ranger pickup with a homemade lumber rack, license plate number 5L63448. Faustino should be considered armed and dangerous and no attempt should be made to apprehend him, Basurto said.
Anyone who sees the suspect should contact the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center at 707-565-2121 or Detective Adrian Mancilla at 707-565-2185.
At round 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, deputies received several 911 calls and went to Hall Road near Willowside Middle School and Summerfield Waldorf School, according to Lt. Steve Brown. The deputies found a man walking around the street covered in blood, Brown said.
Deputies determined that the victim was involved in a fight that turned into a stabbing in a home on Hall Road, Brown said. The schools in the area were immediately locked down as the search for the perpetrator began.
They determined that the man had taken off with the cutting instrument in a car, so the the lock down was lifted. The victim sustained major injuries and was transported to the hospital via ambulance with major injuries, Brown said. The victim is expected to survive, he said.
