The California Highway Patrol arrested a man who allegedly had several pounds of marijuana and thousands of dollars in cash in Cloverdale on Thursday evening.

An officer on patrol at southbound U.S. Highway 101 south of Asti Road saw a Chevrolet Cruz traveling at about 80 mph around 7 p.m. Thursday, Officer Jonathan Sloat said.

The officer made an enforcement stop on the driver, later identified as 35-year-old Judah Neidtch of Hollywood, who was driving from Fort Bragg, according to Sloat.

The officer smelled marijuana emitting from the vehicle while speaking to Neidtch, who admitted he had hashish, Sloat said.

A search of Neidtch's car revealed several containers of hashish, 20 individual bags of marijuana totaling 20 pounds, a stun gun and over $9,000 in cash, according to Sloat.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession and transportation of marijuana for sale.
