Officers knocked on the door at 6:35 a.m., and several minors immediately began trying to escape through a bathroom window, Banayat said.

Police found a number of opened and unopened alcohol bottles in the room and a replica semi-automatic handgun in a trash can, Banayat said.

A total of five juveniles, four males and one female, were found to be under the influence of alcohol, and one was allegedly carrying a bag of marijuana.

All five were arrested and released to their parents, Banayat said.

Two of the subjects were on probation for prior offenses.

The room had been rented for the minors by an unknown adult male who was not on the premises, Banayat said.
