Ukiah man jailed in Healdsburg burglary

Healdsburg police investigating break-in at Center Street home over the weekend.

A Ukiah man was taken into custody over the weekend on suspicion of burglary and possessing stolen property in connection with an incident early Sunday morning at a Healdsburg home, police said.

Christopher James Anderson, 26, was arrested at around 1 a.m. Sunday by Healdsburg police. He was taken to Sonoma County Jail on Sunday, but released on bail late Sunday night, accoring to jail staff.

An investigation of the incident is pending, according to Healdsburg police staff.

"Information is very limited," a police department staff member said.

According to police, two Healdsburg officers and the police sergeant on duty responded to a 12:47 a.m.  9-1-1 call from a Center Street resident who said his  home had been burglarized while he was at work. Neither his name nor his address were available.

Police said they arrested Anderson, but information on how Anderson was located, what items were allegedly stolen and what items Anderson allegedly had in his possession were not available Monday.

Further details will be released pending completion of the police investigation, police said.
