Warrant issued for Healdsburg man after search uncovers meth

Sonoma County issues warrant Tuesday for Jeffrey Meier on drug possession charges after Healdsburg police search of home last week.

A Sonoma County warrant was issued Tuesday for the arrest of a Healdsburg man who was living in a home where a Healdsburg police search last week uncovered a cache of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Det. Nick Casteneda said the Sonoma County District Attorney's office approved the felony warrant for the arrest of Jeffrey Meier, 48 or 49, of Healdsburg on charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of paraphernalia  (hypodermic needles) and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).

Casteneda said the warrant sets bail at $30,000 to $35,000 if and when Meier is located and arrested.

Police said they had obtained a warrant to search the home after several months of investigation into neighbors' reports of suspected drug activity at the residence. No one was home at the time of the search, police said.
