Windsor Police Respond to Domestic Violence Incident

Windsor police responded to a report of domestic violence at a
home on Bluebird Drive this afternoon, Police Chief Chris Spallino said.

Police went to the home after a family member reported that a male resident was damaging the house with a bat, Spallino said.

Spallino said responding deputies were able to convince the man,
who has mental health issues, to come out of the residence.

Windsor Fire Protection District spokeswoman Cindy Foreman said
the fire department received a call around noon about a resident of the 600 block of Bluebird Drive who needed medical aid.

The call then became a domestic violence incident, and police took
over.

The city of Windsor contracts with the Sonoma County Sheriff's
Office to provide police services.
