The Sonoma County coroner's office has identified a woman who died after a crash on U.S. Highway 101 in Healdsburg on Saturday morning as 52-year-old Sandra Joy Adams, of Santa Rosa.

Adams lost control of her 2000 Ford Ranger while she was driving north on Highway 101 at Westside Road at about 7:45 a.m., CHP Officer Kimberly Lemons said.

The Ranger spun clockwise and went down an embankment on the right side of the highway. It struck three trees between the highway and the on-ramp from Westside Road to northbound Highway 101, Lemons said.

Adams was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital where she died at about 9 a.m., according to the coroner's office.
