BART Trains Delayed by Person Who Fell on Tracks in Orinda

BART trains are being delayed on the Pittsburg/Bay Point line Friday morning after a person fell onto the tracks at the Orinda station, an agency dispatcher said.

The incident was reported around 7:15 a.m. at the station at 11 Camino Pablo in Orinda, the dispatcher said.

The person has been taken from the tracks, but the incident is causing delays of 15 to 20 minutes in both the San Francisco and East Bay directions, the dispatcher said.

He did not immediately have information about any injuries to the person who fell on the tracks.
