City Officials' Dinner Cost at Villa Chanticleer in Healdsburg: $55, On Cities' Tabs

Sonoma County Mayors and City Council members to be wined and dined in style Thursday -- paid for out of cities' budgets.

A special dinner Thursday night at in Healdsburg will cost elected officials in Sonoma County $55 each, paid for not out of their pockets, but from the cities' general funds, according to an article in the Press Democrat.

Whether that price is appropriate to come from cities' coffers -- given the budget cutbacks and layoffs many cities in the area have experienced of late -- is a question, the article implies.
