The construction is the final phase of the $896,000 Safe Routes to School grant the city was awarded.

The work is to replace the railroad crossing, install medians in the street in anticipation of a quiet zone designation, install railroad signal improvements and complete the concrete sidewalk improvements at the widened Foss Creek bridge.

This project is a joint effort between the City of Healdsburg, Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit (“SMART”) and the North Coast Railroad Authority (“NCRA”).
