a home or business in Healdsburg just got a little bit cheaper.
Costs for water and sewer hookups were reduced by the city council in a move that aims to lure developers, the Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports.
The city lowered what were among Sonoma County's highest water and sewer connection rates by 31 percent for single-family home builders and up to 78 percent for restaurants, the report said.
The savings will be realized through modified calculation methods.
“It puts us back in a position where we can attract business and homes,” Councilman Gary Plass said according to the report.
