This is at least the second City Council meeting in 2012 where downtown business interests were predominant. Earlier in the month, city leaders voted on a tentative plan to ease sidewalk clutter in the downtown.

Also, the Chamber this week released plans to do a weeklong training -- in conjunction with the city -- for the city's business community on how to provide excellent customer service. The training could make the city eligible for the state's first "Certification of Excellent Service."

Other items on the agenda include a badge presentation for Healdsburg Reserve Firefighters and a report on lease negotiations for the library.
