Healdsburg Green City Committee looking into possible solar collective.
Healdsburg's Green City Committee is looking into a possible solar collective for community residents who are not able to install their own individual solar panels, according to City Councilman Jim Wood.
Wood, a Green City Committee member, made the announcement last week at a public Healdsburg City Council meeting.
According to an article in the Press Democrat, Wood thinks it makes sense when a homeowner is not correctly positioned for solar panels -- such as having a home near a golf course where stray golf balls could hit the solar panels and damage them.
