Should Healdsburg Set Medical Marijuana Regulations?

Efforts are underway to set establish rules in Healdsburg for growing medical marijuana, which would make it the second city in Sonoma County to have such regulations, according to the Press Democrat.

Healdsburg Police Chief Kevin Burke has proposed letting patients grow up to 12 mature plants and 24 immature plants, double what state law allows.

Last week the Planning Commission unanimously recommended the council approve the guidelines, which would require the plants to be indoors and restricts areas where they would be allowed, according to the Press Democrat

The City Council will consider the guidelines on Monday, June 3.
