"Tribute to Veterans" Planned for Nov. 7

A tribute to Healdsburg-area veterans will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at the

The third annual event, sponsored by  begins with breakfast at 7 a.m., followed by the official program starting at 7:45 a.m.

The program includes live performances of patriotic songs including the Star Spangled Banner and the songs of the military services as well as a POW/MIA table ceremony.

 Keynote address will be given by Colonel L.”Pete” Peterka, U.S. Army (Retired).  Festivities will conclude at 8:30 a.m.

Veterans and active military members are invited and encouraged to attend as guests.

The event is open to all members of the community. 

A contribution of $10 is suggested.  All proceeds will benefit the Pathway Home (Yountville), a residential recovery program specifically created for -- and dedicated to serve -- our Nation’s “New Warriors”.

Donations and contributions can be mailed to the American Legion Post 111 – Veterans Breakfast, PO Box 281, Healdsburg, CA 95448.

The Rotary Club of Healdsburg Sunrise meets every Wednesday at 7 a.m at Healdsburg Senior Center on Matheson Street. 

The club is an active group of diverse individuals who eagerly share their ideas and strengths of friendship and fun, accomplishing the goals needed to improve our local and world communities.
