Senior Parents Reminder: Community Service hours were due by May 1st. 40 hours of Community Service is a requirement in order to graduate. Contact the Counseling Department for questions.

Parents of Freshman, Sophomores, & Juniors: We need your help for Graduation Celebration! This event is a safe and sober celebration for the 2013 HHS graduating class at Driven Raceway in Rohnert Park on Friday, May 31. Pay it forward, so that when your student is graduating, you can relax and know they are safe. Please email Deanna DeBaeke at ccd08did@Comcast.net to volunteer for one of the positions listed. This is a really fun night and you will be so glad you helped out!

2013 Baccalaureate Service- Healdsburg Shared Ministries, under the leadership of the pastors of our community, hosts an annual Baccalaureate Service for the graduating seniors of our local high schols on May 19 at 7:00pm hosted by the Healdsburg Community Church, 1100 University Street. Community Scholarships are awarded at this service for graduating seniors who have demonstrated exemplary Christian leadership and service in our community.

Speaker Announcement- Sir Ken Robinson will be speaking on June 10 in Santa Rosa. This is an amazing opportunity to experience one of the greatest thinkers of our time with regards to education, learning and child development. Additional information can be found at www.iesonoma.org

Counselors Corner

Healdsburg High School students are thinking about their future. One highlight of these newsletters is seeing that HHS seniors are accepted to many prestigious colleges including our very own University of Californiacolleges. Career Center

The Career Center is looking for a parent/s willing to pick up plants on Home Depot on Friday, May 17th, held over the weekend and delivered to Smith Robinson Gym Monday morning, May 20th for Scholarship Night. They need to be returned on May 21sthowever, this could be the same or a different volunteer. If able and willing, please call Laurie Nimmo at 431-3473.

School Accountability Report Cards- The SARC's for the 11/12 school year are now available on line. Paper copies are also available in each of our school offices. These reports are required annually by the state of California. They are designed to provide the public with important information about each of our schools and to communicate each school's progress towards achieving its goals. The SARC's mainly focus on information from the prior school year. They are posted on the District's website at http://www.husd.com/Overview. If you have any questions or would like further information, please contact the principal of your child's school.

SENIORS

Senior musicians, graduation is one month away.If you are interested in singing the national anthem or in performing other music, please see Mr. Masselink or leave word in the main office.

PLATO Credit Recovery Lab courses must be completed by Thursday May 23rd!This is a hard deadline. All course credits and grades will be based on work completed before FFA Fair.If your coursework is incomplete, you will not graduate. Please come to your scheduled meeting this week in the lab!

JUNIORS

On Tuesday, May 7, there's a huge college fair at SSU from 6 - 8 p.m. The COIN Club and the Career Center are sponsoring a bus, which will leave at 3:30 for anyone who wants a guided tour of SSU's campus, followed by free time for dinner at the Student Union. Ms. Watkins will deliver permission slips and information to junior English classes this week.

Juniors, be sure to turn in your SSU college fair field trip permission slips to the wire basket outside the Career Center no later than Monday at break.

CLUBS

The Interact Club will meet on Monday in room 19 during lunch. All are welcome.

SPORTS

If you are interested in playing soccer next year, please come to Frost Hall on Monday, May 6th during lunch for a meeting.
