Healdsburg High Kids Join 'Life Tank' Research for Sonoma County Fair

The Sonoma County Fair, partnering with Healdsburg High School, Sonoma County Office of Education and Tomorrow’s Leaders Today, is selecting sophomore students at Healdsburg High to participate in “Life Tank,” a pilot program designed to provide work-based learning as students tackle real problems that impact their community.

The Healdsburg students will focus on: “How to engage teens at the Sonoma County Fair.”

The Life Tank and TLT advisers will guide students to review past fairs, analyze information and go through a proposal development process.

The top scoring participants will present their proposals to fair management, and if selected will continue to work directly with the Fair through 2015 to gather data and conclusions, organizers said.

The Sonoma County Fair runs July 24 through August 10 (closed Mondays). This year’s theme is “Peace, Love & Fair.”
