HUSD: Pettis Resigns; New Board Member to be Sworn In Wednesday

Healdsburg Unified School District board will swear in a new board member on Wednesday to replace Tony Pettis, who resigned.

Donna del Rey was appointed at a special HUSD board meeting on Nov. 7 to fill Pettis's unexpired term on the board through November 2014, said Patti Jobson, district office manager.

Del Rey will be sworn in at the board's next regular meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the Healdsburg High School Band Room, 1024 Prince St.

Pettis, elected to the board in November 2010, resigned due to his relocating out of the district to Windsor, according to Jobson.
