Healdsburg has lately become a sort-of epicenter of prefab and alternative housing.
Witness the selection of Healdsburg for the Sunset Magazine "Idea House" last year -- a prefab made by Blu Homes. Other prefab housing has also been popular in town.
Now, a group of students from the construction trades-oriented CASA program at Healdsburg High School are in the process of building "tiny houses," according to a new blog.
The tiny homes are designed for special uses, such as in-law units.
