Healdsburg Native Hired As Head Coach Of High School Baseball Program

Healdsburg High School announced on Tuesday the hiring of Justin Herrguth as the new head coach of the Greyhounds baseball program.

Healdsburg High School was in need of a uplifting and passionate coach to take over the Greyhounds baseball program and they just found the best candidate for the position.

Justin Herrguth, a former graduate of Healdsburg High School, was handpicked to lead the Greyhounds baseball program as the new head coach.

As a high school student, Herrguth was a standout Greyhound athlete.

His dedication and love for the game of baseball allowed him to compete at Santa Rosa Junior College, where he was recognized with All-Conference and All-State honors.

Herrguth later went on to continue his playing career as an NCAA division one athlete at Western Kentucky University.

Herrguth continued his commitment and focus to baseball when he transitioned into coaching.

He most recently served as the head varsity coach at Sonoma Academy. However, he also assisted the baseball programs at Santa Rosa Junior College, as well as coached several Healdsburg Little League and competitive youth teams.
