Healdsburg Tuesday Concerts A Family Affair

Healdsburg's Tuesday Concert series draws youngsters and oldsters and families, too.

The Healdsburg Tuesdays in the Plaza concert series continued tonight with McKenna Faith and her cowboy boot-kicking country sounds. Faith’s youth was belied by a voice that belted out sweet country music.

While western attire was optional, and you were more likely to see sundresses and tank tops, sandals and flip-flops, the country tunes resonated with the audience.

Music aficionados from infants to seniors were out in force tonight to listen to the music and enjoy the perfect summer evening weather. After today’s triple-digit temperatures people were ready to relax in the shade of the plaza, tip up cold drinks—from water to wine and everything in between—and enjoy the music.

Ben Lampson cruised the concert on his bike, takeout container in hand.

“I came for bratwurst and music,” Lampson said, as he laughed.

Ben was joined by his mother, Kelly Lampson, and sister, Madeline Cast. Cast was carrying of the youngest music aficionados in attendance, her five-month-old daughter, Gloria Cast.

“Gloria was rocking out earlier,” said Cast. The bright infant was wearing a 'fairy princess' tee and tutu.

Next week the concert line-up will feature Johnny Rawls’ soulful rhythm and blues.
