On Thursday, June 21, PG&E representative Matt Spence presented director of operations Tim Spence with a check for $102,000. That's the amount of money projected to be saved in just one year by the winery's switching to solar power.
This week, Stellar Energy will complete installation of a 2,000-panel, 100% American-made solar photovoltaic array at Jordan. The solar power generated is expected to offset the family-owned and operated winery’s utility bill by 75% and save the winery nearly $9 million in electricity costs over 30 years.
