There's a lot happening in Healdsburg in our events calendar, but how about hitting the Friday Night Farmers Market in Rohnert Park for your weekend’s picnic fixins’? While you’re there, check out out the arts and crafts and stay around for the great music. This week it’s local band, "The Mighty Groove."

If you go: The market opens from 5 p.m. and lasts till 8 p.m. in the parking lot of the Rohnert Park-Cotati Regional Library and adjoining City Center Plaza in Rohnert Park. Remember to bring your bags!

Friday, Saturday, Sunday: Opens in Healdsburg for tours. Tours start Friday, Aug. 3, and run every weekend through Sept. 9.

If you go: Shuttle buses leave the Sonoma County Park & Ride, 25 Grant Ave. (at Healdsburg) on the hour starting at 10 a.m. Tickets are $17 adults, $15 seniors on Fridays, children 12 and under free.

Amazing lineup of R&B musicians perform the greats at Raven Performing Arts Theater.

Saturday:

Learn how to weather these tough economic times with a bit of coffee or tea and some conversation. The coffee meetup -- this one in Rohnert Park -- is designed for participants to think of creative ways to respond to the current crisis in the economy.

If you go: The coffee and tea will be free. The event takes place at 470 City Center Drive, Rohnert Park, across from the library. The event starts at 9 a.m.

Saturday: Free Workshop on Native Bees

At 10:30 a.m. at Healdsburg Regional Library, 131 Piper St.

This one’s for all the gem and mineral collectors out there. The 58th Annual Gem and Mineral Society Show is sure to dazzle this year at Treasure Island.

This is the 58th presentation of the original, most established annual show of its kind in San Francisco. Highlights include exclusive artifacts and jade carvings, such as a jade grandfather clock, a miniature jade model train, a jade coffee table; hundreds of fashioned jade stones and jewelry specimens by renowned artists and collectors.

If you go: Treasure Island at Building One. Address: One Avenue of the Palms, San Francisco. Come and be dazzled by the complete Spectrum of Jade: “Everything from the sublime to the ridiculous,” says show chair Ellen Nott. The show starts is on Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Adults: $10 • Seniors & students: $8 • Children under 12: Free with a paid adult. A $2 discount is available for adults with a show flyer, a printed ad with the coupon or click on the Web site http://www.sfgemshow.org/ for a printable copy. Bring the coupon to the show and present it for $2 off the $10 general admission price.
