VIDEO: New 2012 Sunset Magazine 'Idea' House in Healdsburg

Blu Homes prefab on public display starting Aug. 3.

 

As reported in Sunset magazine has chosen Healdsburg to showcase its 2012 "Idea House."

The magazine's choice for "Idea House" is a a prefab home manufacturer in Vallejo.

has in Healdsburg and so was chosen to partner with Sunset in the "Idea House" project.

On Thursday, the magazine announced that the new "Idea House" in Healdsburg will be open for public tours starting Aug. 3 and every weekend until Sept. 9.

Hours are Friday-Sunday 10 a.m.-5p.m., $17 per person, $15 for seniors on Fridays and children under 12 are free.

"For this year's Idea House, Sunset magazine is bringing back the iconic Breezehouse design, which it originally debuted in 2005," said Dana Smith, a Blu Homes spokeswoman.

"Built by Blu Homes, the new Breezehouse was manufactured in Blu's Vallejo factory and “unfolded” at its final location in Healdsburg," Smith said.
