Whole Pile of Fun

Steve Pile Band brings Americana with an edge.

Another lively concert brought out the crowd for dancing and listening to local favorite, the Steve Pile Band.

The music was a mix of ballads and some rockabilly-type Americana music -- except for the crowd-pleaser cover of the Bill Withers song "Use Me," which was the biggest dancing smash of the evening.

By the time "Use Me" was over, it was past quitting time but everyone was still rockin' out, so Pile launched into a lively finale.

Also, at the same, Jessica Felix, artistic director of the was stationed on Center Street outside the Plaza where she was selling The raffle is a fundraiser for the jazz festival.

The Steve Pile band was great! Even through the very rude and loud singing of Happy birthday by the 40 or so people right in the middle of their song. Maybe next time these self righteous locals can wait till the band goes on a break!!! Way to go to the band for staying professional about the situation when they were clearly disrespected!
